Service description:
Our Children and Family Service provides practical advice, guidance and support to families from the moment a child is diagnosed, through each key stage of their development up until the age of 19.

Our vision is a world where children who are blind and partially sighted are able to realise their aspirations, achieve their maximum potential and reach their goals.

How we can help:

Family Support; immediate and ongoing specialist advice and information over the telephone or in the home.

Family / young people's events; we organise "taster" days with local clubs and providers within a supported inclusive environment.

Advocacy Support; expert advice and representation from both local and national organisations.

Sports and Leisure; practical advice and guidance about the availability of leisure services and activities in the county.

Family Support Groups; where parents come together to solver the issues that are most relevant for them.

Join in one of our social groups and enjoy - good company, entertainment and refreshment, a contact point for support and information or simply a welcome break
from the house. Our Social Group Helpers currently organise monthly meetings in:

- Corby: Swan Gardens, School Place off Gainsborough Road.
- Long Buckby: Greenhill Court, Park Road (includes Lunch).
- Northampton: St Alban's Church Rooms, Broadmead Avenue.
- Northampton: The Trumpet Public House, Wellingborough Road.
- Wellingborough: Knights Court, Gold Street.
