Cycle shops in Northamptonshire

There are several specialist bike shops across the county:

Some of the larger chain stores stock good quality bikes and can offer reliable advice including Halfords, Decathlon and Evans Cycles. Toys R Us is a great place for purchasing children's bikes from toddlers through to teens. There are also many reputable online specialist cycling retailers. If you need to transport your bike further afield, cycle boxes and carriers are available for hire or purchase from Big Bear Outdoor, based in Brigstock in East Northamptonshire.

Second hand bikes

It is also possible to buy a good-quality second hand bike for the fraction of the cost of a new one. This CTC article gives a wealth of tips on what to look for. Tools for Self Reliance in Northampton also take donations of second-hand bikes, which are repaired and made available for purchase.

The Umbrella Fair Bicycle Recycle Project
